Over 70 gathered in the Club Room of the Schmidt Brewery complex to socialize and network. The general meeting then updated its by-laws, elected their board of directors, adnproceded to recognize businesses that hosted “winterwear” donations at kiosks at Cherokee Bank, Fresh Grounds, United Family Medicine, Coopers, Burn Unit Coffee Award, American Bank for Joseph’s Coat, a free store at … Then 28 businesses were recognized for their storefront and streetscape improvements.
The agenda was followed with a presentation by Amy Zellmer on “Marketing for Small Businesses” and by Tara Loftsu on “Google Business View”.
The evening concluded with a tour of the Schmidt Brewery complex by its longest-serving guardian and former brew master for the Minnesota Brewing Co, Phil Gagne.
Kent Petterson, Terrace Horticluture Books, presented recognition certificates to 28 businesses of the West 7th Commercial District, the oldest neighborhood commercial district in the State of Minnesota. Pictured at right is the renovation team of the StoneSaloon, 445 Smith Avenue.
